CONSTITUTION OF THE
WHITE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG CLUB OF AMERICA, Inc.

ARTICLE I - Name and Purpose

Section 1 - Name: The name of this Club shall be White German Shepherd Dog Dog Club of America.

Section 2 - Purpose:

a. To preserve the name and heritage of the white-coated German Shepherd Dog (herein referred to as the White German Shepherd Dog) as an integral and inseparable part of the German Shepherd Dog breed.

b. To encourage and educate all members as well as the general public as to the nature, purpose, care and breeding of quality purebred White German Shepherd Dogs.

1. The club shall not mediate personal disputes and shall not assume any responsibility for the outcome of any private sales, purchases, leases, or other transactions between individuals.

2. The club may issue ethical or moral guidelines to members but cannot mandate that members adhere to such guidelines.

c. To urge members and breeders to accept the Breed Standard of the White German Shepherd Dog as set forth and approved by the White German Shepherd Dog Club of America as the only standard of excellence by which they will be judged.

d. To encourage sportsmanlike competition at dog shows, obedience trials, herding trials, tracking tests, any other working or service tests that are natural to the White German Shepherd Dog.

e. To preserve and promote the White German Shepherd Dog's instincts and ability as herding, working and service dog for which he was originally bred without sacrificing the proper temperament, structure and movement necessary to perform these duties.

f. To conduct shows, matches, demonstrations and other functions as set forth, under the rules of the White German Shepherd Dog Club of America and the American Kennel Club, and other clubs where applicable.

g. To encourage and provide a social outlet for owners of the White German Shepherd Dog by establishing Independent local clubs throughout the United States where ever it is possible to do so.

h. To encourage youth in the proper handling and care of their dog and provide forums where they may learn and exhibit their dog(s) in a controlled environment

i. To publish and distribute literature and periodicals in the interest of the White German Shepherd Dog.

j. To prohibit crossbreeding of White German Shepherd Dogs with any other breed or species such as wolves. Any member found doing such will be asked to resign from the club or will be brought before the Independent Arbitration Board.

ARTICLE II - Membership

Section 1 - Eligibility Qualifications:

a. There shall be three types of membership open to all persons who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club and who shall subscribe to the objectives of the Club.

1. Individual - any person 18 years of age or older and who subscribe to the objectives of the White German Shepherd Dog Club of America.

2. Junior - Individuals from 10-17 years of age and who subscribe to the objectives of the White German Shepherd Dog Club of America. They shall not hold office or vote.

3. Honorary - shall be named as appointed by the Board of Governors.

ARTICLE III - Officers

Section 1 - Election:

a. For the election of Officers and Directors, the vote shall be conducted by ballot cast by mail to the general membership and any members of the Boards, Appointments, Committees. There shall be no voting by proxy.

Section 2 - Duties:

a. President - shall preside at all meetings of the WGSDF Combined Boards and have the duties and powers normally appurtenant to the office of President in addition to those particularly specified in the By-laws.

b. Vice President - shall have the powers and exercise the duties of the President in case of the President's death, absence or incapacity and shall assume the office of the President for the unexpired term.

c. Recording Secretary - shall keep a record of all meetings of the Boards and of all matters of which a record shall be ordered by the WGSDF and shall carry out such other duties as are prescribed in the By-laws.

d. Corresponding Secretary - shall have charge of the correspondence of the Club at the direction of the President and carry out such other duties as are prescribed in the By-laws.

e. Treasurer - shall receive all monies due or belonging to the Club. The Treasurer's books shall at all times be open to inspection and shall carry out such other duties as are prescribed by the By-laws.

ARTICLE IV - Meetings

Section 1 - Annual Meeting:

a. Time and location is to be fixed by the Board of Governors and shall be published prior to such meeting as specified in the By-laws.

Section 2 - Meetings other than Annual Meeting:

a. shall be conducted as the need arises as specified in the By-laws.

Section 3. Constitution:

a. Previous notice of amendment is required as specified in the By-laws.

b. An amendment may be made after having been proposed in advance as specified in the By-laws.

c. The Constitution may be amended no more often than every two years.

ARTICLE VI - Non-Profit Status

Section 1. The club shall not be conducted or operated for a profit, and no part of any profits or remainder or reside from dues or donations to the Club shall inure to the benefit of any member or individual.

ARTICLE VII - By-laws

Section 1. The members of this White German Shepherd Dog Club of America shall adopt and may no more often than every two years, revise such By-laws as may be required to carry out these objectives.
